Travel Guide to Zion National Park

When you’re planning a trip, I think everybody wants to know the details, such as the right time, the most essential things to know about the place, the best route, and the things to do there, right? Now, here I’m going to share those things that you need to know before traveling to Zion National Park.

Best Time to Visit Zion National Park

The first thing I would like to share is the time to visit. What is the best time to visit Zion National Park? I traveled to that place in October.

However, you can travel that place anytime as the park is open every day the whole year. In my opinion, the best time to travel is in the Autumn that is from September to December. Because the weather in Autumn is lovely and there is a manageable crowd.

In summer (from June to August), the temperature is very hot and the crowds are very high inside the Zion canyon. However, summer is the best time to visit the higher regions of the park.

The weather is great in the Spring season (from March to May), and far less crowded. But the main problem is that certain parts of the park aren’t permitted because of snow melts.

Best Routes to Adventure Zion National Park

I personally traveled from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. I loved plenty of outdoor adventure activities along the way and fabulous landscapes.

Along this path, you’ll explore Nevada’s Valley of Fire State Park, then head on to the Virgin River Gorge.

After that you can reach America’s fastest-growing region, St. George, Utah, where you will explore the St. George dinosaur discovery site.

The next adventure spot you’ll find is Hurricane, Utah, where you can enjoy some adventurous outdoor activities. From here we went straight to Springdale, a small town also known as the Gateway to Zion. You will find many hotels, gift centers, and restaurants here.

There are two more routes I found when I was searching for the best routes to Zion. One of them is from Salt Lake City to Zion, the other from the Grand Canyon to Zion National Park.

Best Viewpoints in Zion National Park

I found several fantastic sights within Zion National Park and I recommend you never miss them if you ever travel to Zion. Inside Zion, there are many places to enjoy the dazzling Sunrise or vivid sunset, don’t miss Zion’s sunrise and sunset!

Zion Canyon is the best viewpoint inside the park. From here you’ll find the carved Virgin River flowing through the mountains, the seasonal waterfalls and the narrow canyons of the slots.

Another stunning viewpoint is the Angels Landing, where you can get a 360 view of the park. It is one of the busiest regions inside the park. In the near future, the park authority may allow hiking in this area.

Hiking inside Zion is one of the best experiences. There are a number of spots like the Zion Canyon, Kolob Terrace Hikes, East Zion Hikes, Kolob Canyon Hikes, and Southwest Desert Hikes. There are other hikes but these are the popular ones that I described.

Inside Zion, Camping is a perfect way to spend time within the park. If you ever travel to Zion, I suggest that you book a camping spot within the park. Inside the park, there are several campgrounds. Watchman Campground and South Campground are the two most popular campgrounds.

Conclusion

Traveling brings out happiness, isn’t it? But when you travel to a new city, you face several uncertainties. So it is a good idea to know some details about the place you’ve never been to before.

But if you know nothing about a place and go for travel, then you may face several difficulties that are out of your control.

Therefore, it is better to collect some data about the place and people living out there to avoid such situations. I am sure this guide will certainly benefit you if you ever plan a trip to Zion National Park.
